Seats for Servicemembers donations still being accepted

Although the 7,500 ticket allotment for military has been reached, donations are still being taken to pay for the tickets donated to active duty, Guard and Reserve military, veterans, and fallen and Gold Star families for the Penn State football game vs. Iowa on Saturday, Nov. 5 as part of the Seats for Servicemembers program.

In its fifth year, the program honors the commitment and sacrifices of veterans, families and loved ones by providing tickets at no cost to active and retired Servicemembers, as well as a complimentary pregame tailgate at Bryce Jordan Center. Penn State supporters, alumni, and business donations have graciously made this possible.

Made possible by Penn State supporters, 7,500 tickets were available on a first-come, first-served basis to the Nov. 5 game. All active duty, Guard and Reserve military, veterans, and fallen and Gold Star families were eligible to redeem one complimentary ticket for themselves and three additional complimentary seats for immediate family members. Additionally, all qualifying individuals were eligible to purchase up to five additional tickets for a discounted rate of just $35 per person.

Supporters can still donate to cover the costs of the Seats for Servicemembers tickets that will be distributed to military by clicking here or calling 1-800-NITTANY, Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Tickets for the Seats for Servicemembers program are $35 per Servicemember. Penn State hosted 8,000 military members for the game against Army West Point last season.
